Finance Manager - Johor Bahru

This local company specializes in the construction and engineering industry, catering to facilities, building, and power plants. With its expansion, a Finance Manager position is available.

Your new role

As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing all financial operations, including accounts payable, treasury, fixed assets, inventories, taxes, financial and management accounting, statutory reporting, and compliance.
2. Preparing monthly financial reports, conducting audits, and filing tax returns.
3. Providing financial data and analysis on the company's performance to management regularly and as needed.
4. Ensuring smooth departmental operations by delivering timely management accounts and projections.
5. Preparing forecasts and budgets, and monitoring performance.
6. Managing the company’s tax affairs.
7. Liaising with auditors, tax agents, banks, the company secretary, and other statutory bodies.
8. Planning and managing cash flow and banking facilities to ensure sufficient funds.
9. Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including accounting, legal, secretarial, and tax matters.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

1. A minimum Degree in Accounting or Finance, with professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, MIA preferred.
2. 8-10 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, preferably within the construction, property, or O&G sectors.
3. Strong knowledge of MFRS & IRFS.
4. Leadership skills and strong communication abilities.
