Job summary

Mason & Co in Malaysia seeks a senior finance professional to join the Finance & Accounting group, overseeing financial reporting, group consolidation, statutory compliance and corporate reporting for a listed organisation. You will report to the Financial Controller and collaborate with finance teams across the group to ensure accurate reporting and strong governance.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered member of MIA.
• Minimum 5 years in finance and accounting, with hands-on experience in group consolidation and financial reporting.
• Experience working in a public listed company (PLC) environment is required

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
• Manage group consolidation activities and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Review financial results and perform analytical assessments to identify trends, variances, and key business insights
• Coordinate with subsidiary finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in group reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the group
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and company secretaries on statutory and compliance matters
• Oversee tax-related submissions, transfer pricing documentation, and other regulatory reporting requirements
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of finance policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures
• Support corporate exercises, business improvement initiatives, and other strategic finance projects as required

About the job

This is a group-level role within the Finance & Accounting department, responsible for overseeing financial reporting, group consolidation, statutory compliance, and corporate reporting for a listed organisation. Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Must be a registered member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, with hands-on experience in group consolidation and financial reporting
• Experience working in a public listed company (PLC) environment is required
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
