The Finance Manager will oversee the full spectrum of financial operations and reporting for the business unit. This includes ensuring compliance with MFRS, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, driving strategic financial analysis, and supporting business decision-making. The role also entails managing tax matters, audit coordination, and the development of the finance team’s capabilities.

The role also entails managing tax matters, audit coordination, and the development of the finance team’s capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance

    • Oversee timely preparation of MFRS-compliant management accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy of monthly management reports and financial analyses.

    • Ensure consistent and accurate financial data capture and reporting.

  • Strategic Financial Analysis

    • Prepare and deliver financial analyses to support strategic reviews and performance assessments.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting

    • Lead the annual budget and forecast process, including coordination, compilation, and critical analysis of inputs from stakeholders.

  • Working Capital Management

    • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate payments/collections and effective working capital control.

  • External Financial Reporting

    • Prepare quarterly Bursa Malaysia reporting, year-end statutory financial statements, and liaise with auditors to ensure timely audit completion.

  • System Reporting & Tools

    • Utilize JDE and Cognos for financial reporting and highlight key trends, variances, and performance indicators.

  • Tax Management

    • Manage group-level tax responsibilities, including tax planning and liaising with tax agents.

  • People Management

    • Lead, guide, and assess the performance of direct reports, identifying development opportunities and providing mentoring for growth.

  • Business Support

    • Act as a finance business partner, supporting the Head of Business and operational teams with data-driven insights and financial perspectives.

  • Ad-hoc Duties

    • Execute other tasks or projects assigned by management from time to time.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;

    • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in finance roles within the manufacturing industry.

    • Proficient in ERP systems (JDE preferred) and reporting tools (e.g., Cognos, Power Query).

    • Proven leadership capabilities with experience in managing a team.

    • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
