Job Specification
The APAC Finance Manager will be responsible for providing financial leadership across the APAC Operating Company (APAC OPCO), partnering with the business to ensure delivery of objectives in line with the wider Group strategy. The role reports to the APAC General Manager and will work closely with internal stakeholders such as APAC Commercial and Operational teams, as well as Group Finance.
Principal Accountabilities
Responsibilities and duties will include but are not limited to:
- Financial Reporting – Lead and be overall responsible for the delivery of the monthly internal reporting for the APAC OPCO. Ensure timely production of the financial management reporting pack, with complete and understood data & KPIs, supported by detailed financial commentary.
- Financial Planning – Own the budget and forecasting cycle for the APAC OPCO. Provide leadership to ensure the budget/forecast is delivered on time and aligns with Group strategy.
- Process & Systems – Oversee APAC reporting processes and systems, including M3 (ERP System) and other packages. Manage staff to improve efficiency and integrity of financial reporting.
- Business Partnering – Provide strategic financial leadership, collaborate with Operations, HR, and Sales, and support business decisions through analysis and modelling. Participate actively in monthly performance reviews, identify risks, and suggest mitigation strategies. Lead or participate in process improvement projects.
- Cash Management – Manage cash flow, prepare rolling forecasts, and handle debt management.
- Statutory Reporting – Oversee annual audits, prepare statutory accounts for board approval.
- Corporate Governance – Ensure compliance with internal policies, manage audit relationships, and promote best practices.
- Tax Compliance – Manage tax return submissions and support ad-hoc tax projects.
- Continuous Improvement – Seek and implement process improvements to enhance performance.
- People – Lead and develop the finance team, set performance goals, and conduct appraisals.
- Safety – Promote safety culture and conduct safety audits.
Qualifications and Experience
- ICAS, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills
- Experience with ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Prior supervisory experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred
