Job description

As the Finance Manager/Accountant for the Finance & Accounts Department, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of companies assigned. Your responsibilities will include preparing financial statements, prepare accurate and timely financial information, assist and provide guidance to the account executive, to carry out other tasks assigned by Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or General Manager (GM). The candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work within deadlines.

Job Descriptions:

Oversee the finance and operations of the companies under assigned.

Prepare the financial accounts according to Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and Listing Requirements (LR) and Standard Operating Policies (SOP).

Review and monitor cashflow management and treasury functions.

Coordinate the budgetary process and financial forecast.

Review GST / SST reports and monthly accounts.

Review accounting journals & schedules, variance analysis and highlight key weaknesses.

Review managing director / general manager progress reports, financial and management reports.

Prepare quarterly consolidation accounts of EITA group.

Prepare quarterly financial reports for Audit Committee, Board of Directors and Bursa etc.

Coordinate interim and year end stock takes, audit process and address audit issues with auditors.

Assist in preparation of Annual Report according to Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and Listing Requirements (LR).

Review the tax computations and deferred taxation on monthly basis.

Review companies tax returns and address tax issues with tax agent.

Review and amend group audited financial statements to auditor.

Liaison with tax agent on latest budget and tax planning.

Train, guide and ensure accounting team complies with accounting standards and best practices.

Attend to auditors, customs, IRB or authorities pertaining to field audits and queries.

Liase with operation/ project team on project execution information and to check reliability, accuracy, reasonableness of the information provided.

To deliver result within value system of EITA. (To emphasize the importance of EITA value and behaviour expectation)

Any other duties as assigned by the HOD from time to time.

Are you the one?

Degree in Accounting or member of any professional accounting bodies (ACCA, CIMA, CA, CPA).

4-5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably a member of MIA.

Experience in preparing group consolidated accounts of a public listed company preferred.

Possess leadership skill or experience in leading a team, proficiency in accounting software, well versed with the latest accounting standards (MFRS).

Good command of written and spoken in English, Malay, Mandarin. Fluency in Mandarin is preferred due to the need to interact with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Possess own transport and willing to work at Bukit Raja, Klang.
