We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Finance Manager to manage group financial reporting, compliance, and financial process improvements for our private education group. This role is responsible for accurate and timely reporting to HQ, managing audits and tax submissions, and supporting strategic business decisions through financial insights.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in MFRS/IFRS, regulatory compliance, and ERP systems, with a continuous improvement mindset to optimize financial operations in a multi-entity environment.

What you'll be doing: -

1. Group Reporting, Compliance & Audit

Prepare and submit monthly consolidated financial statements to HQ, ensuring compliance with MFRS/IFRS and internal policies.

Review entity-level financials to ensure alignment with group standards.

Coordinate the annual audit process, including preparation of audit schedules, coordination with auditors, and finalization of financial statements.

Oversee corporate tax, SST filings, and ensure timely statutory compliance.

Manage the implementation and ongoing compliance of e-invoicing, including monitoring regulatory updates and system readiness.

Provide guidance on tax-efficient practices such as capital allowances and deductible expenses.

2. Process Improvement & Systems

Optimize financial reporting workflows and enhance ERP system usage by working with IT and support teams.

Drive automation and process improvements to increase reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Support finance-related system implementations and process redesign projects.

3. Stakeholder Support & Analysis

Perform trend analysis (e.g., YoY expense/revenue drivers) to support decision-making.

Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, IT, HR, and Legal teams to align financial processes with business needs.

Act as the main liaison with HQ for all group reporting matters.

Advise the General Ledger (GL) team on complex accounting treatments in line with MFRS/IFRS.

Support finance-related projects, such as system implementations and process reengineering.

Address any ad hoc accounting or reporting requirements as needed

What we're looking for: -

Education: Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA / ACCA certification preferred.

Experience:

At least 5 years of finance experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a group reporting or consolidation role.

Strong background in financial reporting, consolidation, and compliance (MFRS/IFRS)

Solid hands-on experience with audits, tax filings, and ERP systems (with proficiency in financial modules).

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Ability to translate finance requirements into technical specifications for IT/system teams.

Strong communication skills to engage with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

Experience in the education sector or within multi-entity corporate environments.

Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage for liaising with certain stakeholders.
