Job description

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the daily operations (invoicing, payments, banking and other transactions) of the Finance Department of the Company
  • Perform monthly closing and prepare monthly management accounts as well as quarterly results for announcement to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad
  • Group consolidation and Bursa Malaysia reporting
  • Liaise closely with the external and internal auditors, tax agent, company secretary, bankers and authorities in relation to the relevant matters
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant accounting standards and policies as well as government regulations
  • Familiar and hands-on in preparing materials for Board Meeting
  • Strengthen internal control and improve financial systems, policies and procedures
  • Assist Management in relation to any ad-hoc matters

Job Requirements

  • Professional qualifications (MIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent) is mandatory
  • Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience, with at least three (3) years in managerial position, preferably with an audit firm or a listed company
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, Bursa Malaysia reporting and corporate governance practices
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • A team-player and communicates well with colleagues from all levels
  • Strong analytical skills, resourceful, organized, meticulous, responsible, good problem-solving skills and committed to meeting deadlines
  • Vacancy is opened to Malaysian only
