Job description

Job Purpose

  • Financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and internal control.
  • Responsible for financial reporting to management and the board of directors, as well as compliance with government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management including financial reporting, budgeting, auditing and compliance.
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company’s best interest and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews and analysis to identify business opportunities, potential risks, providing insights and recommendations to the Management for the business decision making.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor budget performance throughout the fiscal year to achieve financial goals.
  • Manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits with minimum findings.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the Management to contribute to business decision making processes and long-term planning initiatives.
  • Identify efficiencies and processes to mitigate potential negative cost impacts on the business.
  • Perform any ad-hoc assignments or tasks as required from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA or CIMA preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience, with at least 3-5 years within the manufacturing / FMCG industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices and regulations.
  • Proven experience in costing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
