Job summary

A leading company in the gifts and sweets sector is seeking a finance manager to oversee financial operations. The role involves developing policies, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with Malaysian tax regulations. Qualifications

Job description

Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls that ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Analyse financial data and provide insights and recommendations to senior management for improving financial performance across all operations.

Manage budgeting and forecasting processes for the trading company and its subsidiaries to ensure accurate financial planning.

Liaising with tax agents, auditors and bankers to handle internal and external audits, taxation, statutory and banking matters, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings across all jurisdictions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of accounting and financial operations with business objectives.

Assist with ad-hoc projects as and when required.

Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Experienced with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, SST, and financial regulations.

Solid analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Familiar with US tax regulations is a plus.
