A leading entertainment company seeks a Finance Manager to handle group reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Candidates should have a strong accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and experience in a managerial role within finance. Reports directly to the Group Finance Manager and CEO and assists in preparing information used for decision making within the organization. Reports prepared includes operational budgets, cashflow projection,costing and profit and loss reports by outlets. Responsible for monthly, quarterly, yearly and ad hoc Group reporting, annual budgeting and analysis of group financial performance, cost control and variance analysis.
Monitor daily cashflow and prepare monthly cashflow forecast report.
Liaise with internal & external auditor, tax agent, solicitor, bankers, company secretary and other professional to ensure compliance with all matters relating to audit, tax and statutory requirements
Oversight and coordination of all the organization’s finance and accounting functions including information used for decision making within the organization. (such as data analysis and reports prepared for operational budgets, costing and profit and loss reports by business units)
Give guidance to subordinate to ensure competency in their task and to carry out their duties in an effective and efficient manner.
Development of corporate growth by providing advice and counsel to the Company’s key executives on the financial impact of their strategic and tactical decision.
Conserving and facilitating the growth of Company’s financial and capital resources through the development and implementation of sound financial, accounting and management information systems and procedures.
Evaluation of financial operational data and information to facilitate sound and timely managerial decisions and controls.
Budgetary planning, controlling, and monitoring to meet performance target.
Design internal reporting systems as required.
Reports directly to the GFM and assists in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial information, in accordance with local accounting policies and Group accounting policies.
Preparation of consolidated accounts of the Company and ensure they are in line with the accounting standards.To review financial reporting in compliance with local and International Financial Reporting Standards including preparation/review of management accounts (including consolidation), management reports, annual statutory financial statements, budget, income tax/deferred tax computation and other related finance matters in a timely and accurate manner. Knowledge in IFRS 16 Leases is essential. Hands-on group consolidation experience,prepare group related activity such as consolidation accounts. Tax knowledge preferred, including deferred tax
Manage month end closing deliverables, intra-group reconciliation, intra-group settlements, accruals and GL.
Prepare internal and external group financial reports, regulatory returns, tax filings and any other reports as required, and ensure filings are done on a timely basis.
Assist to supervise, review and provide guidance to subordinate on daily operations of Finance department.
3. Taxation Direct and Indirect.
Reports directly to the GFM and assists in preparing tax reports for governmental agencies.
4. Group accounting.
Direct reporting to the Group Finance Manager, for (a) monthly, quarterly and annual financial information to facilitate Group the preparation ofConsolidated Financial Statements (b) Daily Cash flow requirements to facilitate preparation cashflow forecast projection and managing cash flowand (c) any other ad hoc reports.
Requirements:-
Diploma/Degree in Accounting or professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA/CPA/CA). Professional membership or any other professionally recognized body will be an added advantage.
A self-motivated individual with excellent analytical and communication skills. Strong collaboration skills and cross-cultural fluency.
Must have: ability and willingness to be hands-on to identify and resolve accounting & auditing issues.
Must have: Confident with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced and aggressive environment.
Experience in external audit will be an added advantage. Open to Candidates who are currently working in audit firm (Top 8 audit firms preferred) who wants to move to commercial role and looking for career progression
Consumer business experience prefer but not essential
Related working experience in senior in listed entities or audited an listed will be added advantage.
Proven experience in Managerial roles, and leading a lean team. and supervising of team member.
Good communication and writing skill in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Fluent in Mandarin is added advantage
Travelling may be required
6 to 8 years working experience
Independent, self-discipline, self-motivated, and an effective team player with good interpersonal skills.
