The Accounts Manager oversees daily finance and accounting operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. This role includes financial planning, reporting, taxation, and risk management while working closely with Senior Management to support decision-making and business growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare financial analysis and reports to management to support decision making and recommend performance improvements initiatives.
- Ensure statutory compliance standards are met, and corporate closing and reporting deadlines are adhered to in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct budget analysis and forecasting to support business planning.
- Monitor and track project cost budgets and performance.
- Cash flow Management:
- Cash-flow management, budgeting and fixed assets management.
- Establish key expenses KPIs to control costs and minimize wastage.
- Forecast cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for operational requirements.
- Compliance & Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal policies and tax regulations.
- Liaise with auditors for smooth audit and timely statutory reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and timely filing of tax returns (Income Tax, SST, E-invoicing and etc).
- Coordinate with tax consultants for effective tax planning.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks by implementing robust internal control systems.
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and internal controls for efficiency and accuracy.
Job Requirements:
- Possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Accountancy/ACCA or equivalent.
- Familiar with accounting standards, taxes, SST, best practices and other relevant regulations.
- Good interpersonal skills to engage effectively with all levels within the Company.
- Competent in multi-tasking, ability to manage and work well with colleagues.
- Responsible, independent, and capable of working with minimal supervision as well as in a team.
