Job description

Review the submission of financial reports with analysis projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggest methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.

Engage with departments and subsidiaries within the group to provide guidance on finance and accounting matters.

Responsible for quarterly/annual reporting to the Securities Commission, including preparation of Annual Audited Financial Statements.

Prepare BOD materials for BOD/Management meetings.

Coordinate and prepare the annual Budget, Business Plan, and Monthly Forecasting.

Support the ongoing review, implementation, and monitoring of financial policies and procedures, incorporating internal controls and ensuring compliance with MFRS, DAL, and other company policies. This includes setting up a group template for various group reporting purposes.

Assist in providing analytical support to evaluate and improve business performance and potential growth of the Group.

Participate in and assist with feasibility studies, due diligence, and business decisions related to potential investments, development projects, land acquisition, leasing, and strategic business initiatives.

Review the preparation of monthly group accounts and financial reports to ensure timely and accurate submission in accordance with statutory requirements.

Coordinate interim and final audits with external auditors.

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, consultants, and other authorities to ensure financial and legislative compliance.

Coordinate due diligence exercises, prepare business proposals, financial models, and investment analyses for management review and decision making.

Prepare tax computations and estimates, ensuring timely and effective tax compliance according to relevant legislation.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / MIA).

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Effective communication skills in both English and Mandarin (written & oral) to liaise with staff and associates in China.

Knowledge of group consolidation, familiar with MFRS and recent developments in MFRS is essential.

Confident team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical skills, highly motivated, and result-oriented.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Good command of English.

Experience in an audit firm or public listed corporation is an advantage.
