Job description

a) Responsible for the finance department’s daily operations.

b) Implement the company’s financial systems and procedures.

c) Control financial information shared with external parties.

d) Prepare financial reports and perform performance analysis - submit management reports to Directors monthly.

e) Handle all financial matters including taxation and ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, submitting monthly reports to the tax department.

f) Prepare and implement the annual financial budget, aiming to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

g) Conduct variance analysis on actual vs. budgeted expenses and project costs.

h) Oversee year-end audits, tax returns, and ensure timely submission of audited reports; manage full sets of accounting duties daily.

i) Plan tax-efficient strategies for the company.

j) Manage government statutory reporting and coordinate annual renewals.

k) Supervise HR functions and verify monthly payroll.

l) Ensure timely payment of statutory contributions at correct rates.

m) Participate in new project implementation, operation, decision-making, review, research, and analysis.

n) Perform any ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors.

Management Accounting:

Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research, and perform profitability and cost analysis.

Handle product costing, inventory control, and fixed asset management.

Assist in setting up and maintaining E-Invoicing systems, including accounts payable, procurement, supply chain, accounts receivable, and credit control.

Address logistics and transportation issues.

Coordinate ERP system setup and IT-related matters.

Review contracts and agreements for manufacturing divisions.

Act as liaison with external parties such as government authorities, customs, auditors, tax agents, bankers, and lawyers.

HR and Office Administration:

Assist the GM in overall HR and IT office administration controls.

Requirements:

Degree in Finance, Accounting, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, AIA, or related professional qualifications.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.

Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage.
