A leading ship management company seeks a Finance Manager to oversee capital asset management, budgeting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in financial roles, proficiency in SAP and MS Office, and strong analytical and communication skills.
Ensure proper control over the process of approval of company’s capital assets acquisition and in compliance with company’s Departmental Authority Limit (“DAL”) and company policies.
Maintain accurate and current fixed asset register and tracking of asset movements.
Responsible for accounting closing for capital assets related, including system calculation of depreciation and amortization, and working closely with Financial Accounting team for completion of month end closing.
Responsible in the company’s annual company Capital Expenditure budget exercise and Project budget exercise.
Preparation of regular Capex and Project reports and trend analysis to management. Working closely with the head of business units for budget and cost controls
Overseeing the daily operations of Technical Purchase invoice & payment request and Work with treasury in cashflow planning for any capital and project expenses
Liaison with auditor and attend to any audit enquiries and adjustments.
Duties include:
Oversee the team members for the day to day operation, including the issuance of asset numbers and maintenance of the asset registry in system.
Perform month end closing and run the system depreciation calculation.
Monitoring the project status and prepare the variance analysis. Present the monthly capital expenditure and project status report to management.
Be the key focal to work closely with head of departments during the annual budget exercise and project budget approval. Perform the budget allocation in SAP system upon approval.
Oversee the technical purchase team for invoice processing and the capturing of capital and project related expenses accurately in SAP.
Attend to any ad-hoc assignments
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree holder in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
Professional qualification such as CPA, MIA or ACCA member is an added advantage.
Knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards is an advantage.
Minimum of 8-10 years relevant experience gained in sizeable organizations in similar job duties.
Familiar with SAP applications.
Proficiency in MS Office Application
Excellent command in written and spoken English and Chinese is preferred.
