Job description

Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.

Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.

Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.

Maintain the financial health of the organization. Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing, providing leadership guidance on the Month-End close process and supporting the team in monthly financial reporting.

Manage supplier payments, customer billing, and cash collections in coordination with production and delivery schedules.

Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.

Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.

Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.

Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.

Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.

Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.

Understand and follow the company's OSH policy.

Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.

Participate in risk, safety, quality, environmental, and business continuity activities of the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

Have at least 8 years of experience in Finance Operations (experience in an Audit firm will be an added advantage). At least 3 years of managerial experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting, with a Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CPA, MICPA) or equivalent recognized by MIA.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and high integrity.

Able to work independently and perform well under tight deadlines.

Extensive understanding of financial trends within the company and in the broader market.

Proficient in finance software.

A dedicated team player with a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficient in both written and verbal communication across all organizational levels.

Open to constructive feedback and continuous improvement.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while meeting deadlines.
