We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant/Finance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks, and preparing monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the financial health of our business.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording all financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and payroll.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports, to provide a clear overview of the company's financial performance.
Budgeting:
Assist in developing and monitoring budgets to ensure financial goals are met and resources are utilized effectively.
Tax Compliance:
Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax and sales tax, and ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
Bank Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
Audit Support:
Collaborate with auditors during annual audits and ensure all financial records and statements are prepared for audit.
Financial Systems:
Utilize accounting software and other financial tools to streamline accounting processes.
Compliance:
Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and ensure the company's financial activities are in compliance with legal requirements.
Administrative:
Manage monthly payroll, payments to contractors/suppliers, filing of documents and other ad-hoc administrative tasks.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in a small business environment.
Proficiency with accounting software and financial tools.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
CPA or other relevant certification is an added bonus.
