A leading company in Malaysia seeks a Financial Manager to oversee comprehensive accounting functions, manage a finance team, and ensure compliance with financial standards. Candidates should possess a degree in accounting, significant experience in relevant fields, and be capable of driving process improvements. This role will involve strategic planning and treasury functions aligned with the organization's goals.

Responsible for the full spectrum of financial and technical accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, and General Ledger.
Maintain a full set of accounts, monitor daily processing of payments, invoicing, collection, and ensure timely delivery of financial reports for the assigned portfolios.
Address issues related to collection matters.
Handle annual statutory reporting, prepare draft financial reports, and manage audit-related matters to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Manage treasury functions, including cashflow reporting and liaising with financial institutions.
Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and support new initiatives within the educational segment.
Generate monthly management reports and analytics for management meetings.
Lead the annual business planning and monthly financial forecasting, analyzing revenues, expenditures, cash management, and costs to support decision-making and ensure budgets are met.
Drive improvements in reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
Participate in strategic analysis, propose process improvements, and support system or business initiatives aligned with the group's goals.
Ensure compliance with finance filing, tax filing, audits, statutory, and internal procedures.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax agents, bankers, and authorities.
Manage the finance team, developing their skills through induction, appraisals, and performance management.
Perform other duties as required by management, proactively engaging in tasks and addressing issues promptly.
Key Requirements:
Degree in Accounting or equivalent, with professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MIA).
At least 7-8 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years in an international school environment.
