We are currently seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join our team in our Kuala Lumpur office. Reporting to Director Finance, you will be part of a team of commercial finance professionals to make finance decisions with one of Honeywell's businesses. You will play a part and lead others in supporting financial landscape, speed, quality, and cost efficiency through budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Projects Region General Manager and Region Finance Director in the creation and execution of ASEAN and East Asia (AEA) business strategy for the Project business and driving financial and operational outcomes.
- Drive the annual budget (AOP), Weekly Short term outlook (SRO), and Forecast (mid-year check points on plan) process for the business.
- Ensure strong financial partnership with Business to drive business/financial results (P&L + B/sheet) that includes end to end P&L management of the project business, Revenue and Profitability Analysis, Robust tracking of Functional spend, Indirect spend, balance sheet reviews, etc.
- Responsible for driving Month close process, financial reporting, forecasting, and Variance analysis.
- Drive weekly/monthly reporting and reviews with key stakeholders - regional and global. Identify and highlight risks and opportunities.
- Drive cadence to review Revenue and margin optimization; Review order pipeline and plan/review backlog adequacy to meet targets.
- Drive actions around working capital improvement. Drive a strong cadence with the business on maximizing Billing and collections.
- Participate in review, feedback, and approvals on new bids (like review and feedback on financial terms and margin adequacy).
- Strong focus on Compliance and adherence to revenue/margin accounting/policies.
- Continuously drive and make process improvements.
YOU MUST HAVE
- CPA or equivalent or bachelor's degree in finance/accounting, or related field.
- Preferably 10+ years' experience in a multi-national/Matrix reporting setup, preferably in similar industries.
- Proficient in SAP, Hyperion, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex solutions without supervision.
- Works well under pressure, with a sense of urgency, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Good business acumen, experience of working with operational/business and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills; Able to prepare and present complex data in a simple, understandable manner.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX Compliance.
