Job summary

A leading telecommunications company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting, month-end closures, and cash flow management. The ideal candidate will provide financial insights, lead budget preparation, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications

Job description

Manage and lead the timely preparation and submission of month end closing.

Provide commentary and analysis around the company's performance to the management team.

Responsible for timely submission of tax filings (e.g., income tax and SST) and statutory reports.

Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.

Support strategic planning with financial modelling and scenario analysis.

Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions and organizational goals.

Oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Management.

Responsible for the Company’s cash flow management.

Act as a key liaison between the finance department and other business units.

Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and relevant regulatory bodies.

Streamline financial processes and drive automation for efficiency.

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.

Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve operational excellence.

Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial software and systems.

Any other ad-hoc assignments requested by the Company management

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or Master’s in Finance, Economics, or Accounting or related field; ACCA / CPA a plus

At least 5 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis/managerial experience

2-3 years in project accounting. Experience in telecommunication industry is not essential but will be an added advantage.

Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information

Able to work under minimal supervision, proactive, commit to datelines, able to liaise with various stakeholders

Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners

Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills

Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, etc.

Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, Accounting System, PowerPoint, Accounting System, Inventory & Billing
