Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, statutory compliance, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role requires close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Reviewing financial reports prepared by the finance team to ensure accuracy and timely submission to Head Office (HQ).
  2. Participating with the President in financial planning for the long-term viability and growth of RKL, setting goals, monitoring performance, and communicating the financial plan to internal stakeholders.
  3. Preparing monthly cash flow projections and revising annual tax estimations as needed.
  4. Updating MREL marketing and budgeting figures in coordination with relevant departments.
  5. Ensuring accurate and timely submission of the company's yearly tax return.
  6. Overseeing the year-end statutory audit process, and managing the submission of annual returns and other corporate matters with the company secretary.
  7. Verifying Purchase Orders (POs), Payment Vouchers (PVs), and Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) prior to submission for approvals.
  8. Reviewing and verifying payroll reports before submission for approval.
  9. Acting as the key contact for bankers, external auditors, tax agents, the company secretary, and relevant government authorities.
  10. Maintaining internal control systems, upholding financial reporting standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  11. Managing and reporting on the financials of related dormant companies.
  12. Performing other finance-related tasks as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the education industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, reporting standards, and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
