Job description

Primary duties and responsibilities are as follows:

•Manage the financial accounting and reporting functions by ensuring the management accounts and statutory accounts of the Company are prepared, analysed and reported timely and accurately in order to meet the reporting timeline and conform to the generally accepted accounting principles and statutory requirements.

•Manage the financial planning and controlling functions to support the Company to achieve the targeted financial results including the preparation of annual budget and 5 years business plan as well as supporting the implementation of cost savings initiatives across the Company.

•Cash flow management including preparation of short term and long-term cash flow projections to support decision making process and the strategic objectives of the Company.

•Manage the treasury functions including securing the funds for working capital requirement, investment of surplus funds, debt repayment and compliance with debt covenants.

•Lead the team in responding to enquiries from external parties such as Rating Agencies, Bankers, Lenders, Trustees, Government Agencies, Consultants and Shareholders.

•Compliance with loan covenants and payment schedule of all borrowings.

•Propose and execute action plans to resolve issues raised by Internal Auditor, External Auditor and Risk management team.

•Provide advice and response to the management team on key decisions related to financial matters.

•Lead the engagement with external auditor on the annual audit exercise.

•Review and verify savings generated from the cost control initiatives (Turnaround, DOWNTIME, etc)

•Review and report on the budget utilisation and ensure the actual opex and capex are in line with the approved budget.

•Provide guidance and training to all staff under supervision to ensure staff competency and development are in line with the objectives on human resources.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/ Other Relevant Field of Study or Professional Accounting Certification (ACCA).
  • Minimum 6 years of total work experience in accounting or audit field in relevant industry.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
