Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a Finance Manager to lead their financial management and reporting activities. Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading a Finance Team in a relevant industry.

Job description

The Finance Manager oversees the financial management and reporting activities of the company, and is responsible for budget planning as well as supporting Management in offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Finance team in Johor, and overseeing day to day accounting activities which includes billing and purchasing activities
  • Ensure timely payment and collection and cash management
  • Prepare monthly financial and management reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow Statement and any ad-hoc reports as required
  • Manage tax, audit or external regulatory matters and liaise with external parties
  • Responsible for credit risk management
  • Drive the continual development of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including reviewing and the implementation of process and system changes
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation and make necessary recommendation to the Management
  • Engage in continuous process improvement and special projects

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accountancy or Finance or equivalent such as CPA/CFA/ACCA is a must
  • At least 5 years’ experience in leading a Finance Team
  • Good knowledge of accounting fundamentals, controls and management reporting
  • Prior experience in oil & gas industry is highly advantageous
  • Experience in MS Dynamics 365 & ERP system will be an added advantage
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
  • Experience in strengthening internal control and process improvement
