Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
- Develop financial strategies and forecasts to support business objectives.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and revenue to optimize financial performance.
Accounting Operations:
- Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Manage financial audits, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure timely tax filings (GST/SST, corporate tax, withholding tax, etc.).
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and financial regulations.
- Provide recommendations on tax planning and compliance.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring high performance and productivity.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance accounting knowledge and skills.
- Set goals and KPIs for the accounting department.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the company’s budget in collaboration with senior management.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Monitor and control operational expenses to improve profitability.
- Work closely with other departments to align financial goals with business operations.
- Manage relationships with banks, suppliers, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
