Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the finance and accounting operations for ENGIE Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd and 1-2 smaller entities, with support from a Finance Executive.
  2. Perform month-end closing activities, including data posting/uploading, updating accounting records, journal entries for accruals, prepayments, adjustments, fixed assets, and depreciation.
  3. Prepare comprehensive financial statements and monthly management reports for local and regional offices.
  4. Oversee cash flow management, monitor payable and receivable aging reports, track accounts receivable collections, capital expenditures, and payment milestones.
  5. Prepare SST tax returns and handle corporate tax matters.
  6. Liaise with regional Singapore staff regarding account queries and manage company cash flow issues.
  7. Coordinate with bankers for loan repayments, compliance with loan covenants.
  8. Collaborate with operations staff and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate recording of costs and invoices.
  9. Verify the accuracy and completeness of records from other departments.
  10. Engage with internal and external parties such as auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries.
  11. Handle administrative tasks and other ad hoc assignments as directed by superiors.

Skills & Experience:

  1. Possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or an equivalent field.
  2. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in full-set accounting and 4 years in an audit environment. Candidates with less experience may be considered for an Assistant Finance Manager position.
  3. Proactive and independent work ethic.
  4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information.
  5. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  6. Ability to demonstrate initiative and pursue continuous improvement.
  7. Goal-oriented, committed, with strong planning and execution abilities.
