Job summary

Ormond Group invites applications for a Finance Intern to support the group finance department in Kuala Lumpur. You will work closely with the CFO and finance professionals on a range of accounting tasks while gaining hands-on experience in a growing hospitality group.

The internship covers financial reporting, budgeting, audit support, and corporate finance projects, offering mentorship and potential pathway to a full-time position upon completion.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when handling financial information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting concepts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and compilation of monthly management reports and financial statements.
• Assist in analysing revenue, expenses, profitability and other key financial indicators.
• Prepare financial analysis and reports to support management decision-making.
• Assist in comparing actual performance against budget and prior periods.
• Support bank and balance sheet reconciliations and assist in identifying discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing budget-versus-actual analysis and supporting schedules.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and corporate finance projects.
• Gain exposure to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes where required.
• Assist with group reporting and consolidation-related activities where required.
