Job summary

FWD Group in Malaysia is seeking a finance professional to lead group reporting submissions (monthly/quarterly/annual) and support financial planning within the Takaful/insurance segment. You will coordinate with group offices to ensure accurate figures and timely disclosures.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and at least 5 years’ experience in takaful or conventional insurance, with a focus on control improvements and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance / Accounting required.
• At least 5 years of working experience in Finance Department of takaful or conventional insurance.
• Demonstrable experience in mitigating risk and implementing controls and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting submissions.
• Handle queries from group office related to group reporting.
• Support ad-hoc requests for group management reporting on financials.
• Ensure reconciliation of group reporting figures in FI and MI systems.
• Identify gaps and propose system enhancements to meet reporting requirements.
• Prepare monthly EXCO and Board papers for financials and company KPIs.
• Manage expenses and accruals for month-end and period-end closing.
• Provide analysis on gaps against Plan and support budget processes.
