Job description

The Little Caliphs International Sdn Bhd is the franchisor of The Little Caliphs Program (TLCP), an Islamic-English-Creative preschool program focusing on the spiritual, cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical development of preschool children. TLCP provides training, branding, and business support in the kindergarten industry, offering creative methodologies for teaching Islamic foundations and essential skills to children.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Finance Executive – Reporting at Little Caliphs International Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam. As a Finance Executive – Reporting, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing financial reporting processes, handling Goods and Services Tax (GST) matters, and supporting financial operations through analytical skills. The detailed job description includes:

  1. Performing accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards
  2. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements
  3. Maintaining a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and IFRS
  4. Performing intercompany posting of invoices
  5. Assisting in preparing work instruction guides for relevant work functions
  6. Supporting ad-hoc assignments, analysis, projects, and reporting
  7. Supporting the production of yearly budgets and revenue forecasts
  8. Supporting monthly accounting close and financial reporting processes for P&L and balance sheets
  9. Reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting monthly financial results
  10. Collaborating to build the yearly operating plan and managing the annual financial planning process
  11. Monitoring daily cash collections
  12. Conducting intercompany reconciliations
  13. Establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
  14. Managing operational strategic workforce planning for the A/R team, including forecasting and analyzing growth trends
  15. Providing quarterly updates on performance and hiring recommendations
  16. Forecasting monthly, quarterly, and yearly cash collections in partnership with Treasury
  17. Generating results metrics and presentations monthly, quarterly, and annually
  18. Building and managing long-range plans in conjunction with the Financial Reporting Lead
  19. Leveraging analytics to deliver finance insights
  20. Maintaining data quality and validity
  21. Providing BI support and ad hoc analysis to aid business leaders
  22. Assisting in budget preparations
  23. Reconciling transactions daily, monthly, and yearly
  24. Preparing balance sheets
  25. Developing organizational knowledge of products and processes
  26. Providing customer service and resolving financial disputes
  27. Serving as a key contact for other departments on financial matters
  28. Supporting finance managers and executives with projects and tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Skills in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Starting salary ranges from RM2,000 to RM2,300 based on experience.
