Job description

Handling a full set of accounts including fixed asset management, preparing journal entries, reconciling financial statements and accounts, rectifying discrepancies, and ensuring data accuracy.

Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Aligning general ledger accounting practices to support budgeting and forecasting requirements, and providing solutions to control issues.

Performing account analysis to ensure journal entries and balances are correct, and that all are classified into appropriate accounts.

Entering financial data such as accruals, prepayments, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the ledger monthly, as well as preparing reports.

Coordinating monthly stock takes and ensuring proper cutoff.

Gathering supporting documentation and performing recordkeeping.

Managing various aspects of month-end closing activities, including proper cutoff and timely accounts closure.

Ensuring accounts comply with company policies, procedures, statutory, and tax requirements.

Liaising with external parties such as bankers, auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, insurance agents, and legal advisors.

Responsible for monthly and ad-hoc reporting, adhering to strict month-end and year-end deadlines.

Managing day-to-day transactions.

Reconcilling inter-company balances and explaining variances.

Formulating financial and accounting systems and operational processes.

Developing and maintaining system improvements.

Protecting and retaining documents and records for easy retrieval.

Performing other duties as assigned by superiors.

Complying with ISO standards and adhering to safety practices, SOPs, work instructions, policies, and guidelines.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or financial management.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience handling GL.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Preferably experienced with AutoCount Accounting System.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Polite, cheerful, and hardworking attitude.
