Purpose of the Role:

Manage month end & year end closing process, GL & daily AP payment, bank reconciliation and manage an entity for statutory reporting under the Group.

Oversee the cashflows function of the company which include planning, forecasting and handling the fund management in order to have a best possible use of the fund and maintain liquidity.

Expectations of the Role:

Daily activities:

  1. Transfer of the fund from accounts to main account.
  2. Manage of direct cashflow to ensure liquidity (manage borrowing if needed) in daily.
  3. Liaise with bank officer for any banking matters, example: managing of banking application, advise on any enquiry from others operational division when required & etc.
  4. Process invoice, petty cash and staff claim (with timeline) in the system effectively and ensure.
  5. Review SOA on a timely manner and communicate with respective users.
  6. Maintain system data and configuration – vendor, cost centre, profit centre etc.
  7. Process intercompany invoice, billing, payment and perform reconciliation.
  8. Process and maintain the records for asset and liabilities ie CAPEX, ROU, accruals, prepayments.
  9. Review and perform reconciliation for long outstanding items in balance sheet and do clearing when necessary.
  10. Report to manager on a timely manner on the operational issues, system leakage and problematic users.
  11. Assists in the budgeting process and preparation of CAPEX and OPEX budget templates.
  12. Develops and maintains ad-hoc reports as needed. Performs special/ad-hoc projects as assigned by Management.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned when required.

Monthly closing activities:

  1. Perform matching in SAP for Bank Reconciliation.
  2. Work closely with AP & AR team to perform clearing of bank recon unclear item.
  3. Perform monthly treasury closing and ensure all banking transactions record accurate in financial statements.
  4. Obtain information/explanation from respective department.
  5. Prepare computation and analyse appropriately before raising journals.
  6. Prepare month end journals and ensure completeness and accuracy.
  7. Prepare full set of accounts for small size entities.
  8. Prepare and complete the month end closing task assigned based on communicated timeline.

Statutory filling and requirements:

  1. Able to manage auditor/tax agent independently and provide appropriate data.
  2. Process statutory payment on timely manner.
  3. Submit necessary submission to meet legal or statutory requirements.
  4. Assist Financial Controller for the insurance renewal plan by collaborating with others department in collecting of information and generating of report.

Attributes Required:

Must-Have:

  • Possess a Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
  • 4 – 5 years working experience.
