Finance Executive

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Executive in Finance to join our team. Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. They will play a crucial role in financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making processes, with additional experience in audit backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries, handling the company’s asset records, tracking stock movements, and processing payroll transactions.
2. Month-End and Year-End Closing: Assist in month-end activities by preparing journal vouchers, updating audit schedules, posting fixed assets, reconciling bank statements, verifying stock reports from centres, updating tax schedules and accruals, issuing Debit Notes to tenants/related parties, making monthly adjustments, and ensuring correct data entry in the accounting system. Participate in year-end closing activities, including adjustments and audit schedule updates.
3. Generate and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
4. Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely completion of tax filings, communicate with tax agents regarding corporate income tax, and stay updated with changing tax regulations.
5. Audit Support: Assist in coordinating and providing documentation for internal and external audits.
6. Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
7. Process Improvement: Continuously assess and streamline financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
8. Compliance: Stay updated on financial regulations and standards in Malaysia, ensuring all activities comply with local laws.
9. Software and Tools: Effectively utilize accounting software (AutoCount) and tools to streamline processes and reporting.
10. Other Duties: Undertake any other duties and ad-hoc assignments as required.
