Job description

Fairview International School is looking for a highly skilled and proactive Finance Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing the school’s financial operations, supporting financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance efforts. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow their career in finance while contributing to the school’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management, ensuring they are aligned with the school’s operational goals and international financial standards.

Accounts Management: Accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring that transactions are processed accurately and promptly. Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with collections as necessary.

Tax Compliance & Filing: Ensure timely and accurate tax filings in compliance with local regulations. Assist in tax reporting and liaise with auditors or tax authorities as needed.

Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation and resolving any discrepancies identified during the audit process.

Financial Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies to maintain transparency and safeguard financial resources.

Procurement & Expense Management: Track and manage departmental expenses, ensuring that all purchases are made within budget and in line with the school’s procurement policies.

Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to support cross-functional projects and provide financial insights that assist in decision-making.

What We’re Looking For:

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ICAEW / ACCA / CIMA

Experience:

Atleast 1 -2 years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally within an international or educational institution.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Autocount Accounting Software) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Attention to Detail:

Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering accurate financial reports and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support management in decision-making.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Ethical Standards:

High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in managing financial data and resources.

Time Management:

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
