The Finance Director will be responsible for the strategic financial management of Juno Markets and its group of multinational entities. This role oversees all finance-related functions including audits, financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise, strong management skills, and a sharp eye for identifying financial inefficiencies and potential risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all financial functions across the group, including:
- Annual audits (internal and external)
- Management accounts preparation and review
- Financial statement preparation and consolidation
- Internal accounting and reporting processes
- Global tax reporting and optimizing tax efficiency
- Oversee and manage a finance team of 4, ensuring effective delegation, performance monitoring, development, and team expansion.
- Maintain oversight of intercompany transactions and multi-entity consolidation across different jurisdictions.
- Ensure full compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
- Design and enforce robust internal controls to prevent fraud, manage risk, and ensure data integrity.
- Act as a key financial advisor to the CEO and executive team, providing financial insights for strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies when required.
- Monitor and improve internal audit processes and assist in fraud detection and prevention.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting cycles.
- Monitor cash flow, capital allocation, and treasury functions to ensure business sustainability.
- Stay up to date with developments in crypto assets and digital finance; crypto experience is a strong advantage.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within financial services or fintech. Experience in a startup or fast-growth environment is a plus.
- Proven experience managing finance operations for multinational entities.
- Deep knowledge of tax planning and regulatory compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong experience in internal audit processes, fraud detection, and risk control frameworks.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- High proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or equivalents) and Microsoft Excel.
- Crypto/Blockchain finance knowledge or exposure is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with remote teams.
