Job description

The Finance Director will be responsible for the strategic financial management of Juno Markets and its group of multinational entities. This role oversees all finance-related functions including audits, financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise, strong management skills, and a sharp eye for identifying financial inefficiencies and potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage all financial functions across the group, including:
2. Annual audits (internal and external)
3. Management accounts preparation and review
4. Financial statement preparation and consolidation
5. Internal accounting and reporting processes
6. Global tax reporting and optimizing tax efficiency
7. Oversee and manage a finance team of 4, ensuring effective delegation, performance monitoring, development, and team expansion.
8. Maintain oversight of intercompany transactions and multi-entity consolidation across different jurisdictions.
9. Ensure full compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
10. Design and enforce robust internal controls to prevent fraud, manage risk, and ensure data integrity.
11. Act as a key financial advisor to the CEO and executive team, providing financial insights for strategic decision-making.
12. Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies when required.
13. Monitor and improve internal audit processes and assist in fraud detection and prevention.
14. Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting cycles.
15. Monitor cash flow, capital allocation, and treasury functions to ensure business sustainability.
16. Stay up to date with developments in crypto assets and digital finance; crypto experience is a strong advantage.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CA preferred).
2. 10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within financial services or fintech. Experience in a startup or fast-growth environment is a plus.
3. Proven experience managing finance operations for multinational entities.
4. Deep knowledge of tax planning and regulatory compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
5. Strong experience in internal audit processes, fraud detection, and risk control frameworks.
6. Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
7. High proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or equivalents) and Microsoft Excel.
8. Crypto/Blockchain finance knowledge or exposure is a plus.
9. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with remote teams.
