Job description

Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies that support the organization’s long-term goals, drive sustainable growth, and maximize shareholder value.

Financial Planning & Management: Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.

Risk & Compliance Oversight: Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies, while identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks.

Cash Flow & Capital Allocation: Direct the management of cash flow, working capital, and investment decisions to ensure liquidity and optimize capital efficiency.

Internal Controls & Governance: Establish and enforce robust internal control frameworks to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and support audit readiness.

Executive Collaboration: Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team, providing financial insights and partnering on key business decisions and initiatives.

Financial Reporting & Analysis: Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports and performance analysis to the board of directors and senior leadership.

Team Development & Leadership: Lead and inspire the finance team, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including banks, auditors, investors, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree or professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CFA are preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial management, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• In-depth understanding of Malaysian financial regulations, taxation, audit standards, and corporate governance practices.
• Strong background in financial forecasting, risk assessment, and corporate finance strategies.
• Skilled in the use of financial management tools, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven leadership with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience in the manufacturing, logistics, or multinational sectors is highly advantageous.
• Proficient in English, Malay, and Mandarin; the ability to read and write in Mandarin is a plus.
