Develop and execute financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Collaborate with department heads to gather relevant financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Responsible for key tasks including Financial Analysis and review of Accounting Policies and Practices for the Group and Subsidiaries from ASEAN country.
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Work closely with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and maintain a strong control environment.
Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity for the organization and other treasury related matters.
Implement cost-effective financial processes and procedures to optimize operational efficiency.
Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
Assess and evaluate financial performance against short and long-term goals.
Identify and mitigate financial risks through the implementation of robust risk management processes.
Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and best practices, ensuring the company's compliance.
Ensure financial systems and documents are in compliance with accounting standards, Group’s financial SOP, laws, and regulations.
Assist and advise senior management on corporate affairs/ new business ventures.
Liaise with external auditors or tax agents in annual audits or related taxation matters.
Advise Managing Director on compliance with Malaysian law and regulation on Taxation (e.g. SST), Malaysian HR, and Payroll matters (e.g. SOCSO, EPF, Personal Income Tax).
Responsible for validating Monthly Payroll’s accuracy.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly, quarterly, and yearly management accounts, group consolidation of accounts, and statutory financial reports.
Finalize and ensure timely filing of audited financial statements, tax returns, and other statutory financial reports.
Oversee daily operational activities of the Finance Department.
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
Ensure the finance team is well-equipped to handle the dynamic needs of a growing company.
Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor/ management.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Accountancy/ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
Must be an MIA member.
Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role.
Strong understanding of financial regulations, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to financial analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting tools.
Experience in managing investor relations and presenting financial information to diverse audiences.
Sound knowledge of Financial Accounting Standards, Bursa listing requirements, and the relevant statutory requirements.
Good knowledge of Taxation Regulations such as SST and Capital Allowances; Transfer Pricing; Treasury/Hedging Instruments; etc.
Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment and respond to ambiguous situations.
Experience in dealing with reporting for a Listed Company is preferred.
Experience in dealing with Bursa Malaysia / Securities Commission is preferred.
Ability to liaise with Bank/ Financial Institutions on all Banking and Finance matters.
Ability to liaise with relevant Authorities/ Tax Agents/ Auditors/ Company Secretary on matters pertaining to the Department functions.
Possesses regional finance experience, having successfully managed financial operations across multiple countries.
Willing to work in Cyberjaya.
