A leading company in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Digital Transformation Analyst to coordinate IT projects within the Finance Department. This role focuses on system improvements, process automation, and stakeholder engagement. Ideal candidates should have experience in finance environments and familiarity with relevant software tools. Strong analytical and documentation skills are essential for success in this position.
Lead and coordinate IT-related projects within the Accounts and Finance Department, focusing on system improvements and automation.
Act as the functional liaison between business users and technical teams, including external vendors.
Support project planning, requirements gathering, execution, and rollout activities.
System Analysis & Documentation
Analyze existing accounting and finance processes across all software systems.
Document business requirements, workflows, and system specifications for IT development or configuration.
Perform basic database queries to extract and validate data during analysis or troubleshooting.
Testing & Implementation Support
Assist in system testing (UAT), issue tracking, and deployment activities.
Maintain supporting documentation such as test cases, change logs, and training guides.
Stakeholder Engagement & Process Optimization
Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Retail/Wholesale, and IT stakeholders to identify opportunities for process streamlining and digitization.
Review workflows to identify inefficiencies or overly complex processes and propose simplifications.
Drive alignment across departments and support change management efforts.
Automation Tools & Low-Code Development
Utilize tools like Microsoft Power Platform to design or support automation workflows and digital tools.
Contribute to minor development tasks using Microsoft products.
Technology Exploration & Innovation
Support initiatives to explore and adopt AI-powered solutions for financial process optimization.
Identify practical use cases for AI and automation within accounting, reporting, and internal controls.
Skills and Personalities
Familiarity with Malaysian-based business software suites and US-based ERP systems is preferred.
Ability to perform basic Microsoft SQL queries for data analysis and validation.
Experience in project coordination, business/system analysis, or IT support within a finance environment.
Good understanding of financial processes in manufacturing, including supply chain, inventory, and procurement.
Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and other low-code/no-code tools is beneficial.
Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to assess and propose process improvements and digital solutions.
Certifications or training in project management, business analysis, or ERP systems are a plus.
Experience in Malaysian SME environments, especially retail and wholesale, is advantageous.
Hands-on or technical development experience (e.g., scripting, Power Platform apps) is favorable but not essential.
