Job summary

SWM Seelong Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced financial reporting professional to coordinate monthly closing, prepare the statements, and consolidate financial results for subsidiaries. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards while continuously improving close processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of related working experience; audit background will be an added advantage
• In depth understanding of account functions including accounts payables, intercompany transactions, cash flow and general ledger reconciliation
• Meticulous, figure sensitive and able to work independently
• Responsible and high sensitivity in handling confidential information
• Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly financial closing to meet deadlines
• Prepare monthly Statement of Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and consolidated financial statements for subsidiaries
• Monitor and review bank and inter-company reconciliation statements
• Manage cost structure by monitoring expenditures against budget
• Check, verify, and prepare payables, receivables, bank reconciliation, and journals
• Liaise with tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and related parties
• Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits and preparation of audited financial statements
• Ensure timely submission of corporate tax compliance cycles
• Deal with the Inland Revenue Board on tax queries and field audits
• Supervise and coordinate monthly financial reporting with commentary and analyses on key business drivers
