Working within the Finance Center of Excellence team, this position is responsible for executing projects aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function. The focus will be on developing and deploying financial systems and processes to meet Corporate Financial Reporting requirements. Key areas include education, process re-engineering, and system application enhancement through top-down and bottom-up project initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical resource: Address simple to moderately complex issues related to financial systems and tools, consulting with senior team members on more complex problems.
- Support month-end activities: Assist site finance teams with activities involving SAP FICO, Cognos Controller, Prism, CPT, Coupa, Concur, myAnalytics, Power Platform, and VBA to ensure a smooth and timely closing process.
- Provide user support: Analyze and research moderate scope questions from users to resolve issues effectively.
- Coordinate training: Facilitate training sessions for new hires and updates related to system functionalities and upgrades.
- Communicate system changes: Inform users of all updates and enhancements, including system upgrades.
- Understand departmental processes: Familiarize with standardized functions, processes, procedures, and systems within the department.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot: Assess business systems and resolve concerns as they arise.
- Support corporate tools: Introduce and support company-provided tools and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Monitor processes and tools: Continuously assess current systems to ensure they meet business needs and identify opportunities for improvements.
- Support system issues: Provide ongoing support for plant systems and related issues.
- Identify enhancement opportunities: Recognize areas for system and process improvements and detail requirements for routine business development requests (PRs).
