Job summary

Sibelco is seeking a Finance Business Partner to act as a strategic finance partner to the Directors of Operations and Commercial, driving performance and profitability across APAC operations. You will lead FP&A, budgeting, and management reporting, and partner with cross-functional teams to enable informed decision-making.

You will own financial modelling, capital proposals, and governance, while guiding a local finance team and ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred.
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive finance experience.
Strong experience in FP&A, controlling, budgeting and business partnering.
Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial operations is preferred.
Previous people leadership experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Act as strategic finance partner to the Director Operations and Director Commercial to support business performance.
Provide financial analysis and actionable insights to support business decisions.
Challenge business assumptions and identify opportunities to improve profitability, productivity and cash flow.
Support business cases, investment decisions and operational improvement initiatives.
Review and support capital expenditure proposals, investment evaluations and business cases to ensure alignment with strategic and financial objectives.
Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting.
Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast.
Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support business decisions.
Lead month-end closing activities and management reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Monitor cost performance, inventory, profitability and working capital.
Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, banking relationships and treasury activities to ensure adequate funding and effective cash management.
Support reporting in accordance with IFRS and financial policies.
Ensure compliance with the company’s financial policies, internal controls and accounting standards.
Support statutory, internal and external audit activities.
Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, SST/VAT reporting, transfer pricing requirements and tax audits.
Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation plans.
Ensure financial processes are aligned with the global operating model.
Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting.
Improve reporting automation and business intelligence capabilities.
Support implementation of new finance systems and reporting tools.
Promote data quality and process standardization across the business.
Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Commercial, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain and other support functions to enable effective business planning, cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence.
Support cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects.
Lead, coach and develop the local team

Job Description:
