Job summary

Sibelco is seeking a Finance Business Partner to act as a strategic finance partner to the Directors of Operations and Commercial, driving performance and profitability across APAC operations. You will lead FP&A, budgeting, and management reporting, and partner with cross-functional teams to enable informed decision-making.

You will own financial modelling, capital proposals, and governance, while guiding a local finance team and ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive finance experience.
• Strong experience in FP&A, controlling, budgeting and business partnering.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial operations is preferred.
• Previous people leadership experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic finance partner to the Director Operations and Director Commercial to support business performance.
• Provide financial analysis and actionable insights to support business decisions.
• Challenge business assumptions and identify opportunities to improve profitability, productivity and cash flow.
• Support business cases, investment decisions and operational improvement initiatives.
• Review and support capital expenditure proposals, investment evaluations and business cases to ensure alignment with strategic and financial objectives.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast.
• Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support business decisions.
• Lead month-end closing activities and management reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor cost performance, inventory, profitability and working capital.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, banking relationships and treasury activities to ensure adequate funding and effective cash management.
• Support reporting in accordance with IFRS and financial policies.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s financial policies, internal controls and accounting standards.
• Support statutory, internal and external audit activities.
• Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, SST/VAT reporting, transfer pricing requirements and tax audits.
• Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation plans.
• Ensure financial processes are aligned with the global operating model.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting.
• Improve reporting automation and business intelligence capabilities.
• Support implementation of new finance systems and reporting tools.
• Promote data quality and process standardization across the business.
• Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Commercial, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain and other support functions to enable effective business planning, cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence.
• Support cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects.
• Lead, coach and develop the local team
