Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a dedicated Finance/Accounts Associate in Kuala Lumpur to assist in preparing statutory financial statements and supporting schedules. You will collaborate with the Assistant Finance Manager, support audits, and contribute to month-end closings and reconciliations.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with O2C, P2P, and R2R teams, ensuring compliance with standards and policies, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required or ACCA/CPA qualified.
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Assistant Finance Manager in preparing statutory financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Support external audit process, including gathering supporting documents, addressing audit queries, involvement in annual stock take and preparing audit schedules.
• Support in various accounting and finance operations, including reconciliation and reclassification.
• Ensure timely and accurate month end and year end closing, including accrual/provision posting, recurring journal preparation and reconciliation.
• Ensure timely submission of statutory filings, such as SST, IST, tax related filing, government statistic report, ESG report.
• Work closely with shared service team (O2C, P2P, R2R) to ensure completeness of accounting transactions.
• Provide financial analysis and variance analysis support for cross functional projects.
• Support process improvements, SOP updates and implementation of best practices within finance function.
• Ensure compliance with financial standards and company policies.
