Job Title: Finance Associate

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (hybrid)

About the role:

We are hiring for a Finance Associate to join our multi-national Financial Business Services in Kuala Lumpur. Join BSI as a Finance Associate in Kuala Lumpur and be part of a global leader in standards and business improvement. In this role, you’ll support financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in reporting, analysis, and compliance. This role is hybrid with a working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Responsibilities may include:

1. To ensure customer receipts and vendor payments are allocated accurately in SAP.
2. To ensure the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of the transactions processed as per BSI’s SLA and KPI.
3. Participate in continuous improvement projects with a view to improving process efficiency and effectiveness.
4. Investigate and resolve any invoice discrepancies with relevant parties on a timely basis.
5. Reconcile supplier statements to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the purchase ledger.
6. Responsible for the month end tasks in collaboration with the Financial Accounting team.
7. Perform other duties as and when delegated, including back-up, business process improvement initiatives and ad-hoc tasks.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

1. Bachelor’s Degree/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
2. Experience of working in a Shared Service environment in similar previous roles within accounts receivables, accounts payables, and credit control all relevant.
3. Knowledge of SAP and PO Systems will be an advantage.
4. Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
5. Ability to collaborate and be a team player.
6. Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively over calls, teams, emails etc.
