A leading company in the semiconductor manufacturing industry seeks a Finance Assistant Manager / Senior Executive to oversee the month-end closing process and manage a team. The role requires substantial experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on cost management and analysis. Prepare, Review and approve month end close JV with complete supporting documentation.
Oversee and manage the month-end closing process to ensure completeness and timeliness of period-end activities.
Plan, execute, monitor the Annual Operational Planning (AOP) & Long-Term Business Plan (LRBP) to meet management’s goal.
Manage and develop the team, including task delegation, KPI setting for the team’s process areas, coaching, and performance development.
Periodic reviews and analyses of production, manufacturing, and price variances in the P&L, working closely with team members and stakeholders.
Ensure the accurate calculation of standard costs and monitor cost variances to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Involved in Oracle implementation to leverage capabilities and identify areas for process improvement in cost management automation.
Implement best practices in costing methodologies for different product groups to publish the quarterly price list to the sales team.
Monitor results for yearly stock take and review inventory control in optimal level.
Support external audit and tax preparation functions as relates to cost accounting.

Education required:
Degree in Business /Accounting or Professional Qualification in financial accounting or management accounting
Years of experience:
8-10 years in relevant experience in Finance/Accounting/Costing
COST MANAGEMENT - Senior Executive
1. Perform month end closing tasks such as accrual calculations, royalty computations, reclassifications, inventory reconciliation and various ad-hoc tasks.
2. Support the analysis of budget vs. actual results for the company.
3. Collaborate with the Supply Management and Engineering teams to manage product costing, develop standard cost models, conduct periodic cost revisions, and support to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
4. Collaborate with module teams to collect, analyze, and summarize cost data (e.g parts, labor hours, machine hours) for production allocation.
5. Assist in product margin analysis.
6. Upload and roll up standard costs in Oracle quarterly, assessing the impact of production overhead and variances on P&L.
7. Prepare weekly scrap reports and collaborate with the operations team to identify and reduce scrap costs.
8. Support external audit and tax preparation functions as relates to cost accounting.
9. Respond to ad-hoc product cost and margin inquiries from the sales team for customer price negotiations.
10. To carry out yearly stock take and stock reconciliation.
11. Review and approve Opex expense and inventory purchase requisition (PR).
12. Control on approve for Opex submission on Management paper.
Education Required:
Degree in Business /Accounting or Professional Qualification in financial accounting or management accounting
Years Of Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related field.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Experience with Oracle Fusion is considered an additional advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
Works carefully and is diligent and detail oriented.
Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices.
Ability to analyse financial data and provide insights and recommendations.
