JOB BRIEF
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Finance to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of financial and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decision-making. This role requires regular travel to farm sites to oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with budgetary controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES, AUTHORITIES AND DUTIES
- Responsible for the full spectrum of financial and accounting functions
- Responsible for the monthly closing of accounts within stipulated deadlines
- To ensure all financial reports are submitted timely
- Ensure timely preparation of all relevant financial reports and tax planning
- Assist on preparing monthly cash flow forecast and perform necessary analysis on cost, budget and revenue
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards
- Monitor CAPEX spending and ensure sufficient funds are available for ongoing operations
- Work closely with senior management to provide strategic financial advice, identifying opportunities for cost optimization, revenue growth, and operational efficiency
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
- Periodic financial reporting and monitoring of financial results against budget/projected financial targets
- Perform periodic financial reviews, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Responsible to coordinate and prepare financial budget and/or projections and annual performance target.
- Regularly travel to farm sites to monitor financial performance, ensure budget compliance, and support operational teams.
- Assist in any other special/ ad-hoc assignment or operation works assigned by superior from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related professional qualification from a reputable institution.
- Minimum of 5–6 years of experience in statutory audits, tax matters, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with SAP B1 is an added advantage.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating with all levels of the organization.
- Willing and able to travel regularly to farm sites as part of job responsibilities.
