Job summary

CBRE in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the financial services delivery for Real Estate Services, including fixed assets management, lease accounting under IFRS 16, and budgeting processes. You will partner with the Capital Projects and Estate teams to ensure accurate data and timely reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting, financial, and reporting controls.

About The Role

This job is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations jobfunction. They are responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, andreporting policies and controls.

As a CBRE Finance Analyst, you will beresponsible for supporting the financial services delivery of a clients RealEstate Services function. This includes support and oversight of; Fixed AssetsManagement, Financial Resources Planning process, Lease payment handling inaccordance to IFRS 16, functional support to all real estate related workstreams, Capital Project account finalization, property related databasemanagement, accounts compliance with external & local regulatory bodiesincluding furnishing statistical information for analysis & reportingpurposes locally and regionally.

WhatYou’ll Do

• Ensure the data integrity offixed asset records are up to date & compliant with GRCA(Group ReportingChart of Accounts), IAS (International Accounting Standards) & FRS(Financial Reporting Standards).
• Finalize Capital Projectsaccounts arising from new branches/relocation/refurbishment fit out works &capital related projects.
• Supervise Invoice processing& managing accruals.
• Support Portfolio,Transactions & Estate team in processing of lease renewals/standinginstructions/refundable deposits in accounting treatment relating to leasedspaces & IFRS16 Cash Contra reconciliation.
• Provide accurate & timely submission of data for analytical reporting &overall business strategy.
• Perform month-end reconciliation/balancing on GL/suspense accounts & followup action on ageing items.
• Ensure monthly/quarterlyreturns are furnished with deadlines
• Formulate & implement workprocesses to cater for new systems, business strategies, initiatives, products,troubleshoot, provide guidance for HUB ADM system & maintain optimumefficiency.
• Manage and oversees theFinancial Resources Planning process.
• Respond to and resolve issues and requests frommanagement teams and client regarding various accounting issues and reports.
• Workwithin standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meetdeadlines.
• Exchangestraightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

WhatYou’ll Need

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 3 years ofrelevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience andeducation will be considered.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standardproblems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standardpractices to make judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitivemindset.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a teamenvironment.
• Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate financial-relatedcalculations.
• Effectivecommunication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels ofmanagement and staff (verbal and written)
