• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in Finance or Accounting; experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsible for supporting the month-end closing of accounts, conducting financial analysis and reporting, and ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance. The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, complemented by effective communication abilities.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in the timely closing of MFRS 17 (Insurance Contracts) monthly accounts, including but not limited to journal postings and preparation of reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

Assist in the preparation of MFRS 17 finance tasks, including data extraction and analysis.

Assist in the preparation of MFRS 17 Annual Financial Statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Support audit exercises and reviews by auditors and/or authorities by preparing and providing requested information in a timely manner.

Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy through automation and regular review of existing protocols.

Utilize SAP/BI tools to generate insightful reporting and business analytics.

Participate in and assist with the preparation and execution of regulatory projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and timelines.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the planning and execution of regulatory projects, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements.

Attend any ad-hoc assignments that may be required from time to time.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science or a related field

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Knowledge of SAP/BI systems is an advantage

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

1–2 years of experience in Finance or Accounting; experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
