A local engineering company focused on research and development is seeking a Finance & Admin Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, requiring strong qualifications in accounting and finance. Ideal candidates will have significant experience and leadership skills to manage financial tasks efficiently.

Job description

This local engineering company focusses on research and development of composite materials for the market usage. With an expansion, the company is now looking for a Finance & Admin Manager.


Your new role

  • Oversee financial planning, analysis, and cash flow management. Lead the annual budgeting process and develop long-term financial plans.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting policies and governance. Manage month-end and year-end closure procedures, and prepare draft audit accounts.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly financial assessments, forecasts, and management accounts. Provide short and long-term financial and managerial reports.
  • Oversee daily account processing, reconcile monthly activities, and fulfil tax requirements.
  • Manage payroll, employee benefits, and organisational insurance.
  • Handle financial management for project-funded activities and maintain financial administrative files.
  • Manage bank accounts to ensure liquidity and invest surplus cash. Ensure timely resolution and communication of accounting requests.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role, you will need to possess

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance, preferably possessing a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent)
  • 5-7 years of working experience within the Accounting and Finance function
  • Independent with strong communication skills
  • Adept in Financial & Management Reporting
