Job summary

Emerson Automation Malaysia, based in Negeri Sembilan, is seeking a Final Quality Assurance Assistant Engineer to strengthen our quality team. You will investigate customer complaints, perform root cause analyses, drive corrective actions, and coordinate with Customer Service, Logistics, and Sales to resolve quality issues.

You will also track warranty claims, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement through data analysis and best-practice sharing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) and quality control methodologies.
• Experience in root cause analysis, CAPA, and customer complaint handling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive awareness and knowledge sharing of customer quality issues to strengthen quality detection and prevention measures.
• Support internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with quality management system requirements.
• Analyze quality data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Participate in cost-saving, digitalization, automation, AI, and SGIA initiatives related to quality and operational excellence.
• Promote and support a strong safety culture, including exercising Stop Work Authority when ESH risks are not adequately controlled.

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.

• Experience in root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action (CAPA), and customer complaint handling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience in valve, industrial manufacturing, oil & gas, or process industries.
• Familiarity with ASME, ASTM, ANSI, NACE, PED, and ISO standards.
• Working knowledge of Oracle ERP, OASIS, QA Web Applications, or similar quality systems.
• Experience supporting quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Exposure to AI, automation, digitalization, or operational excellence projects.
