Job description

As a Fields Technical Engineer at STARGAZE C&M SDN BHD, you will be responsible for the on-site servicing, maintenance, and technical support of photocopiers and multifunction printer (MFP) machines for our clients. This full-time position is based in Shah Alam, Selangor, and involves direct engagement with customers to ensure their office equipment operates smoothly, efficiently, and securely.

Performing on-site installation, setup, and configuration of photocopiers/MFPs at client locations.

Conducting preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and extend machine lifespan.

Diagnosing and repairing hardware and software faults in photocopiers, scanners, and related peripherals.

Troubleshooting connectivity issues involving printing, scanning, or faxing over networks.

Managing firmware updates, driver installations, and network configurations.

Providing user training and technical support to clients on proper usage and troubleshooting steps.

Logging and documenting service activities, part replacements, and customer feedback.

Collaborating with the support and logistics team for spare parts coordination and service scheduling.

Advising clients on consumables usage, upgrade options, or machine optimization.

Keeping up-to-date with OEM standards, new product releases, and industry best practices.

What We're Looking For

Solid understanding of photocopier/MFP brands (e.g., Canon, Ricoh)

Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.

Knowledge of network printing/scanning setups, including TCP/IP, print servers, and cloud printing.

Customer-first mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls daily.

Possession of a valid driving license (as travel to client sites is required).

Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or IT-related Engineering.
