Job summary

A safety science leader in Johor is seeking an independent candidate with a Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronic Engineering to conduct inspections and ensure product compliance. Responsible for communicating with clients and promoting UL services, the ideal candidate possesses strong technical aptitude and communication skills. Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Work independently to execute the timely completion of assigned works/projects.
• Analyze scope and determine requirements in accordance with product safety standards/procedures; evaluate or examine products/systems to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Communicate with manufacturers and customers to conduct certification inspections, and promote and explain UL services.
• Maintain the integrity of the UL Mark by conducting various product, device, process, system, and material inspections at various sites and factory locations to ensure compliance with applicable technical requirements.
• Assist in the promotion, marketing, and selling of new and existing UL services.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Have a general electronics background, strong mechanical and technical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
• Familiar with test instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, dielectric withstand testers, ground continuity testers, etc.
• Experience in Quality System Management, such as ISO 9001 or ISO internal auditing, is an advantage.
• Interest in developing cross-selling skills to better understand client business needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with client-interfacing abilities.
