About the role

Join the dynamic team at Ray Tech (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as a Field Application Engineer (Mandarin Speaking). This full-time position is based in Johor Bahru District, Johor and will see you playing a crucial role in supporting our clients and ensuring the successful implementation of our cutting-edge electrical and electronic engineering solutions.

As Field Application Engineer (FAE) specializing in X-ray industries focuses on the technical aspects and applications of X-ray technology in fields of industrial non-destructive testing for SMT PCBA, Semiconductor, Automotive Die casting, Food & Beverage Industries.

What you'll be doing:

Provide on-site technical support and training to clients on the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of our products

Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to understand client requirements and develop customised solutions

Conduct demonstrations, presentations, and workshops to showcase our products and services

Gather customer feedback and communicate it to the product development team to drive continuous improvement

Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and support activities

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards

What we're looking for

Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar field application or technical support role

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues

Proficiency in Malay, Mandarin and English, both written and spoken, or any other language is a plus

A driven and proactive approach, with a keen attention to detail

Willingness to travel to customer sites as and when required

Willing to travel oversea and chances to oversea training

Work Requirements:

· Assist sales staff to communicate with customers and submit customer demand information summary.

· Assist the sales staff to complete the testing of the customer's products and submit the sample test report.

· Communicate with R & D personnel according to customer requirements and submit a plan report.

· Assist sales staff to carry out technical exchanges and program communication in customer companies.

· Assist R & D personnel to complete the adjustment and confirmation of the imaging system.

· Collect information on cutting-edge technology and competitors, and assist in R & D and development of new equipment.

· Assist in R & D to carry out statistics and update of equipment data.

· To handle other duties assigned by Department head or Superior.

Skills Required:

· Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of X-ray technology, including image processing, detection systems, and safety standards.

· Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with regulations governing X-ray use, such as AELB guidelines in Malaysia or CE marking in Malaysia.

· Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify and resolve technical problems in various environments.

· Communication Skills: Strong ability to convey technical information clearly to clients and colleagues. Fluent in English, Malay and Mandarin. Other additional language is a plus.

· Interpersonal Skills: Building strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
